Andy Lambrecht – Professional Story

I am currently CEO of Jumpbeat Strategy, where I consult with and advise business owners and leaders to grow their businesses beyond expectations. In three years with Jumpbeat Strategy, I have worked with business owners across a broad sampling of industries to create vision, design strategy and improve their overall effectiveness. I also work with businesses to define product / market fit, validating product and business concepts to improve their likelihood of success. I provide ongoing business advisory and coaching services to business owners to help them grow their businesses and themselves. Strategy comes natural to me and I often wonder why others don’t see what seems obvious to me.

Prior to forming Jumpbeat Strategy, I held business unit management, marketing, product management, and strategy roles at companies that ranged from pre-IPO growth companies to Fortune 500. At Analog Devices, I led a business unit approaching $200MM where i focused product investment on growth areas and led the team to deliver the first Dolby Atmos solution for home theaters. As SigmaTel’s (now part of IDT and NXP) Director of Marketing & Product Management, I created and led the execution of a strategy which turned around a product line growing revenue 150% in two years in a mature market. I have also held marketing and product management leadership positions at AMD and Standard Microsystems (now part of Microchip). Prior to the marketing and product management phase of my career, I held engineering and engineering management roles at VLSI Technology (later acquired by NXP) and Texas Instruments where I served as a lead computer systems architect for advanced, high-performance, mult-computer systems.

I completed an MBA degree from Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee. Andy Lambrecht – My Personal Story

I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and now live in Austin, Texas. I have spent time in Dallas and Phoenix prior to moving to Austin in 1994. Having been in Austin for more than 25 years, I have been here longer than I have been anyplace else. Being in the technology industry, I believe Austin is one of the best cities on Earth and enjoy living on Ladybird Lake just across from downtown.

I am a lifetime learner. When I am not working to grow someone’s business, I am often working to improve myself in some form. I have certain vectors I focus on but also become amazed at the degree of randomness that sometimes directs me to something new. I strive to be a better person today than I was yesterday and a better person tomorrow than I am today. I want to live and contribute for a long time and actively work to improve my health.

Having been around computers all of my life (nothing special today, but rare for my generation), I enjoy learning and trying new technologies and gadgets.

I enjoy reading from the internet and books. Mostly, I read to learn and this is a form of enjoyment. I tend to read books that help me grow professionally or personally in some manner.

I enjoy listening to music. At one time, I had considered majoring or minoring in music, but decided I didn’t want to eat and work at Burger King for the rest of my life. I have broad tastes in musci and listen to many genres, but mostly gravitate to smooth jazz and R&B.

I am a lifetime Vol football fan and try to watch the Vols play when I can in the fall.

My family is most precious to me. I am married to a wonderful woman and have a beautiful grown daughter and granddaughter. My parents and grandparents are primary sources for my values.
